Colours of Lost Time

A series of photographs showing birds belonging to species which have gone extinct due to the human activity.

The artist used the depictions of such birds found in the ornithological atlases, which he then placed on the wheel and set in motion. What was real and full of details became abstract.

The aesthetic and conceptual gesture causes a feeling of irreversible loss (extinct species which no one will ever see, events from the past, memories).

At the same time, through the symbolism of the wheel movement, it indicates the acceleration of changes taking place in the modern world.
