Mikołaj co-founded Firlej Kastory to mobilise Polish private wealth to create a long-term economic value.

Over the last years Mikołaj worked as Investment Manager in London at a US private investment firm focused on direct investments into technology companies. In 2017 he helped to mobilise funding and establish a new academic Centre at the University of Oxford focused on exploring policy and regulatory challenges of modern technologies.

Mikołaj gained also experience in WealthArc, Swiss-Polish fintech company offering wealth management platform for HNW clients. In the past he was a Policy Advisor in the UK Cabinet Office, an Assistant to the Secretary of State and speechwriter of the former Prime Minister of Poland.

His interests focus on the changing role of human control over autonomous systems and the governance of AI. Mikolaj is an enthusiast of Polish mountains and countryside, supports classical education and Liverpool, and enjoys listening to jazz.

Mikolaj holds MPP and MPhil from the University of Oxford as well as MA and BA from the College of Inter-Faculty Individual Studies in Humanities, University of Warsaw. He is also a Research Affiliate at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies and Centre for Technology and Global Affairs at Oxford and Fellow at the Mercatus Centre at George Mason University.

Stanisław co-founded Firlej Kastory to steer private wealth towards more impact driven approach.

In recent years, while working for the biggest law firm in Poland – Domanski Zakrzewski Palinka (DZP) Stanisław specialized in M&A advisory. During his time at a law firm, Stanislaw established and led DZP Future, a project aimed at developing collaboration with early stage technology companies. He advised a number of startups during a capital raising, restructuring, corporate disputes, and supported with international expansion. He also advised on the implementation of GDPR in large entities in finance, industry, pharmacy and advertising in Poland.

During his studies Stanisław took part in the medical mission in Ukraine and Moldova. The goal of the mission was to provide medical examination to the people living on historically Polish territory. He also worked in the school for blind kids in Rwanda where he led sport and art classes.

Stanislaw dedicates his free time to his two small daughters and to his biggest passion – alpine and freestyle skiing. He is a devoted fan of Manchester United. Although Stanislaw and Mikolaj support different football clubs, we prove that even such fundamental difference is not an obstacle in working together as good business partners.

Stanislaw holds an MA diploma in Law and Administration from Warsaw University. He also graduated from the School of Leadership oragnised by The Freedom Institute.
